I cannot count on three years at Man Utd - the United boss

Ruben Amorim - seen receiving consolation after May's Europa League final defeat - notes he is satisfied by the investor's long-term backing but underscored that tomorrow is uncertain in soccer.

Manchester United head coach the Portuguese coach believes it's crucial the investor openly discussed his future vision - but states nothing is guaranteed about the next day in soccer, let alone three years.

During a discussion with a leading newspaper last week, the co-owner stated it might require the manager a three-year period to produce meaningful results at the Theatre of Dreams.

Emerging in an era when the manager's position has been facing examination in the wake of a lengthy stretch of poor performances, the statements assisted in calming a portion of the current stress.

Yet, discussing prior to the 100th meeting with old rivals Liverpool at their home ground, the United boss emphasized how tomorrow is difficult to forecast in soccer.

"It's certainly beneficial to listen to that but he tells me all the time, periodically with words post fixtures - but understand, I realize and Ratcliffe understands, that football is not like that," he stated.

"The crucial element is the upcoming match. Despite having backers, you cannot dictate tomorrow in soccer."

CEO Omar Berrada has conceded it has required far longer for the manager to adapt to the English top flight after his transfer from Sporting Lisbon during the winter than anyone imagined.

United have won 10 successes in 34 league games during Amorim's tenure. They are yet to win back-to-back league wins and have not ended a fixture schedule during this campaign higher than ninth.

The concerning numbers are stretching belief in the head coach among the Old Trafford faithful approaching a stretch of fixtures their team has struggled during for the last couple of years.

The manager stated he isn't experiencing the uncertainty within the organization at the team's practice complex and is firm nothing equals the expectation he applies to the team - and to some extent, he would choose Sir Jim to refrain from seeking to establish serenity because he worries the effect it might produce on the squad.

"It isn't merely something people discuss, I feel it daily," he stated. "It's really good to listen to it because it helps our fans to understand the administration understand it will require a while.

"But at the same moment, I'm not fond of it because it creates an impression that we possess time to work things out. I don't wish for that sense in our team.

"The pressure I put on the players or on myself is so much bigger [compared to external sources]. In football, especially in big clubs, you need to prove your value each weekend."
