Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 US jobs as part of a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance intending to disclose complete information in its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.
Previous updates had indicated the firm aimed to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.
